 OUTREACH WITH SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

 

The purpose of the University of Portsmouth’s Recruitment and Outreach Team is to act as a link between schools and colleges and the University. Our strategy is to deliver a progression package from Year 5 to Year 13, enabling potential students to make informed decisions about whether university is right for them. We offer a range of free activities that aim to interest and inform students, as well as help develop useful skills for education.

The Primary team work with a large number of primary schools across Portsmouth and south east Hampshire, the work is predominantly aimed at Years 5 and 6 and involve visits to the school and the University

The 11-16 team maintain regular communication with target schools to ensure the University best accommodates the school’s needs. Projects include:

The Post 16 team works with schools and colleges to deliver a range of activities that aim to inform potential higher education applicants and supports them though the application cycle. They organise events at the University, including tailored events for individual schools and colleges.
