This session explores barriers to higher education and how schools and colleges can support underrepresented learners. Gain insight into widening participation priorities, student experiences, and practical strategies to raise aspirations, support applications, and improve outcomes in higher education.

This online interactive session will help you to:
• Understand who may be considered underrepresented in higher education
• Explore barriers affecting progression and participation
• Identify effective ways to support learners’ higher education journeys
Professionals working in the education sector and/or with young people will benefit the most from this CPD opportunity. It is suitable for: School and college staff working in a variety of roles including teachers, careers advisors, pastoral staff, virtual schools/college and educational professionals working in other roles. It is also relevant to Local Authorities; particularly those working in social care and colleagues from other departments who you feel may benefit from this session.
